The chart could not be copied. Further, if the comparison chart between the recommendations of the pay commission and the review committee is made available, it would have been of much use.
This even worse than the Original report for the scale of 16400-20000. The total Pay in the original report is about 37720 now it would be Rs. 36000.
The list is true. last column is based on minimum pay on that pay scale. If your current basic pay is 3000 Rs, you can expect around 9000 Rs new basic pay, also you should add 24% DA.

How is that PB5 has two different pay bands and two different grade pays in a single pay band. Isnt this an anamoly?

When this pay commission is going to be implemented. this govt. is making a fool of govt. employees. The politicians are happy to increase their salary and perks and are not ready to provide their legitimate due, which is happening after a staggering 10 years to them. If the SPC-R is referred to Fin. Com. then we should forget it for atleast one year.
I am fed up yaar with these nonsense, either they should pay or say we are not paying you anythings, tired of this waiting.
Best thing is to forget about 6 cpc. In this way we can be at peace. We are not going to get anything.

New Loksabha has to be constituted before April, 2009. Conduct of election all over India needs 45 days to 60 days time. March and April are exams season. Therefore to make employees feel happy, before elections are held, Govt needs to implement recommendations before the end of 2008. We wish the report be implemented ASAP.

The review committee report appears to be good.we can not, however,be sure of anything unless and until the official confirmation is out.In the table,payscales 7450 and 7500are clubbed together and pay band of19000 is recommended.In IA&AD, AAO scale and AO, which is supervisory cadre of AAO,scale is clubbed
If the Govt gives the pay report to Chithambaram to cut the wings and legs, i am sure that the Govt has to pay for it in the coming elections.

I'm just don't get it, how can S7,S8 & S9 have the same Pay bands and only a diiference of Rs.500/- in the grade pay where as s10 gets a different pay band & a grade Pay of Rs.6000/- Most people in the s10 scale i.e., Rs.5500-9000, don't want to work and only want to supervise stating they are OS-II. Can the COS justify this, please!!!!!
All the reports have thinking behind it either towards higher administrative grade or a specific service like defence. What about others? Are they unwanted?? Can an administration have an inverted pyramid shape become successful without any working hand?? ACP scheme is not a solution. A scope continuous promotional avenue from a lower level at certain interval of service will be more fruitful for the working hands. While presently it takes about 20 years at some grades to get another promotion. Especially in lower grade upto Gp 'B', while these are actual working category. They should be more benefitted than the present status. No one is looking at this parity resulting in frustation and non-working attitude. anonymous
Do Mr. PM or FM aware about the pahetic condition of CG employees in this country? Or simply they are behind he deal? I don't think any body will bother to redress the grievances of us. Because their pay and allowances are not determined by pay commission. Bu question is why ? Within the meaning of law they are also a public servant. i think ministers are also covered under the definition of public servant in democracy. Then why their pay and allowances are not decided by pay commissions? Without this provisions they may not understand the sufferings of CG employees waiting so long without the pay revision. When Mr. FM had announced the 71000 Cr debt relief for farmer he did not asked FC to evaluate the impact on Govt exchequer bill. Then for 21000 Cr arrears they required the opinion of FC. If the 6th CPC is not implemented in August, I will appeal to all govt. employees to boycut the assembly election.
if the MPs and MLAs want to increase their pay, or want to add more perks they will not appoint any committee, refer to any committee and wait for 1,5, or 10 years, they will just implement it. Idon't see any benefit to my cadre which is in 6500-10500 pre revised scale . Because , the post cpc scale decreases by Rs. 10 campared to the original pay scale offered by the pay commission in its origianl avatar .
Why do we need a government? Pay scales were fixed by a commission, reviewed by a committee and again to be calculated by another commission. Why should there not be yet another commission or committe foe implementing the same?
The Pay Scale of Group-B specially Basic Scale of Pay of Rs.5000, Rs.5500 and Rs.6500 have been deprived by the CPC Review/Screening Comiittee in a worst manner. The CPC Screening Comiittee may please reconsider these three grades judiciously.

If we see pay scale difference between S-27:16400-450-20900 and S-28:17300-450-22400 (pre-revised), it is reasonable. But, corresponding pay band difference in proposed revised pay structure PB9:24000-54000 (12000) and PB10:40000-60000 (14000) is not rational and hence unjustified.

In 2007 budget,it was expected FM was likely to announce IR. but declared that PM would announce in the Parliament. Not happened. At last pay commission report released. Pay panel committee submitted to PM. again to Fin.Commission leaving 2 1/2 years anxious to come to stage that anything worth to be given & accepted like beggers.

PERIODICAL PAY REVISION IS HIGHLY APPREACIABLE BUT FREQUENT INFLATION AND COMMODITIES PRICE HIKE IS HIGHLY SUPPRESSING THE MINDS OF KNOWLEDGE WORKERS. I DOUBT THIS PAY SCALE DOES NOT IMPROVE OUR QUALITY OF LIFE UNLESS INFLATION AND PRICE CONTROLS MECHANISM SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE BY THE GOVERNMENT. Nothing is shown regarding defense personnel and pensioners.
The recommendations seems to be negligible. All Ministers and Politicians must see their own emoluments and their nature of duties/places of work in addition to what all they manipulate during teir tenures, because of which their assets expand like baloons.
If the Govt doesnot implement the report from 1. 1. 2008. it will be disasterer for it and it will pay heavily during the forthcoming General Elections and that is what opposition wants.
Who is completed 7 years in administration with udc grade equavalent to 14 years completed in technical person.atleast for 4500-125-7900 basic may be increased grade pay 4500 instead of 4000.Currently who is scale of pay in 4500-125-7900 are loser and they may get grade pay difference.

Earlier report, 5000-8000 scale was revised to 12900. Now it is revised to 12000. What brain involved in this.
What is the need for pay band and grade pay. Let the Govt. fix a uniform rate of revision to all pay scales. Say 2.5 times. First revise all the scales by multiplying it with 2.5 (Minimum, increment rate and maximum) with certain marginal adjustments to make it in round figures. Example. 4000-100-6000 can me made 10000-250-15000. The same formula for all the scales whether it is 2550-55-3200 or 24050-650-26000 or the fixed 30000. In the case of Group D scales (S-1 to S-4) the increase can be 2.75 times. In the case S-5 and S-6 also the increase can be 2.75 times. It is for the upliftment of the downtrodden. If the government accepts such a proposal the benefit will be as follows for each employee.
If it is accepted from 1-1-2006, the benefit will be 64 per cent of the pay drawing As on 1-1-2006. if it is from 1-1-2007 the bebefit will be 47.5 per cent of the pay as on 1-1-2007. Kindly see the calculation how the 64 percent and 47.5 arrived at:

Fixation will be by multiplying existing pay as on 1-1-2006. Multiply it with 2.75 or 2.5 fix it if there is a same stage in the new pay scale. if not in the next stage in the new scale. Arrears to the seniors will not be less than the arrears due to a new employee who joined in 2005 in that scale. If this is the formula the juniors getting more arrears than the seniors will not be there which was in existence in 3rd, 4th and 5th Pay commission. No heart burns and stepping up.
There is no need for CCA.
For the purpose of HRA the cities are to be divided into 5 categories as detailed below:
1. Population >100 lakhs 25 %
2. Population >50 lakhs 20 %
3. Population >10 lakhs 15 %
4. Population >1 lalk 10 %
5. Populatiion < 1 lakh 8 %
For the purpose of transport allowance also the same population criteria can be taken into account and the percentage can be 1 to 5 irrespective of the group of the officer. By adding HRA and Transport allowance the total will be as follows:

If government is not taking any control many more Govt. quarters will remain vacant. Already many are vacant in many cities.
Armed force personnel is all set to get a raw deal. I dont find any significant enhancement in post retirement benifits for personnel who are scheduled to retire within few months . Of course one should understand that GOD AND FAUJIS ARE REMEMBERED ONLY DURING CRISIS and this is no crisis time.
I don't think this additional package can attract best brains into govt service where there exists seldom a way to appreciate smart and hardwork.
Since old pay scales of Rs.5000-150-8000 to 6500-200-10500 have been brought under one pay band Rs.8700 and with Grade pay Rs.4200, the donkeys and horses have been clubbed and the donkey will become further harder and harder (they will say in what way you are greater than us we are also in the same scale). But the bosses will give more responsibility to the existing scale holders of 6500-200-13500 as their designation is higher. Why not Govt. change the designations of all as per revised scales?
The whole pay commission recommendation was made available in internet soon after the same submiited to the govt during March 2008. But the details of approved recommendations e.g. pay band, grade pay department/post wise have not been made public even after 5 days. Any body listening......
This pay commission recomended by u.P.A.and its alliance party is nothing but a pandora box for employee.This long awaited report has already frozen the passion and joy of employee.I am unable to define the meaning of a lok kalyankari yojna of govt.
In the Chapter 7.56 of the CPC report, the para no. 7.56.9 inter alia states that "The post of SectionOfficer would, therefore, also need to be upgraded. The post will consequently be placed in the next higher grade carrying grade
pay of Rs.4800 in pay band PB-2 of Rs.8700-34800 that corresponds
to the pre-revised pay scale of Rs.7500-12000. In this connection, I want to know whether the grade pay mentioned is correct???

Govt has made fool of employs by giving 3 ACPs after 10, 20,30years of service If you go with the contents of report it is in increase of grade pay ie from 4200 to 4400 not in the line of promotion Govt does not know what is promotion A employ having 30 yrs of service gets three so called ACPs with max benifit of Rs 1200/- More CPC has mearged all scales in PB-2 then all promotions will abolish .Trade Union/Govt deptt union should send Resentment strongly otherwise it will be great disparity between ClassI officers with Class-II officers and class D employs

On 1.1.2006 my pay was Rs.6200/- in the pay scale of Rs.5500-175-9000. Now this pay scale is merged with Rs.6500-200-10500 so kindly let me know my basic pay as on 1.1.2006.
on 01-01-2006 my basic salary is 7600 .on same year in new revised pay coommission what is my basic salary and DA.
The pay scale of 16400-20000 is awarded to top ranking officers of any department which has been placed in PB-3 while 14300-22400 has been placed in PB-4. It seems it has been done knowingly so that a particular group may be benefited. It is not justified at all. At least 25% of the top ranking posts or two top most posts must be kept in PB-4. The report shows biased decision.

The above pay scales show the rightness of the report. Initial higher basic is offered to higher officers then why scale of 14300 initial has be placed in PB-4 while a scale of 16400 intial in PB-3? Scales with higher starting would have been placed at higher level.
It seems that 16400-20000 has been placed below 14300-22400 knowingly and it is a big question on this report. Look to the comment of Mr. Bkmurty: This even worse than the Original report for the scale of 16400-20000. The total Pay in the original report is about 37720 now it would be Rs. 36000.
6th cpc by introducing Increment effective date as 1st July has put those who are having increment dates between Feb & June in the pre-revised scale in a disadvantageous position, in as much as, juniors in the same grade whose increment is either in January or between July and December will draw more pay than seniors w.e.f 1.7.2006. Can any one tell, whether this anomaly will be rectified, seniors' pay will be stepped up?
I am a pensioner having retired on 31-05-1944.My basic pay at the time of retirement was 12950.As per the new pay band it is equal to 29940.According to 6th p.c,pension should be half of it i.e:29490/2=14745 whereas the calculation given by the goct it comes to 14418 only.Can any body clarify the reasons for this difference.
Hi..i will be appointed as a Law Officer in Syndicate Bank.The pay scale is Rs.13820 – 19920.The approximate total emoluments at the start of the scale inclusive of DA, CCA & HRA at metropolitan centres work out to Rs.20600/-.I want to know wat exactly will i get in hand after the application of 6th pay commission.
