If you read the paycommission report completly. You will know that you may end up wiht paying backsome amout from your pocket. The increase in real term is only Rs. 1000.00 per month.

Don't be carried away by the hype. In real terms the increase is only Rs.1000.00 for a Group B offcier. Please read the portion:

Yearly Increment has been reduced considerably. Prior to the report the avaerage increment was 2.58%. Intially it was about 3.05% and after 19 years of service only it became 2.5%.

The annual increments work out to (See section 2.2 of the Commission Report):
1S Annual increment @ 2.5%.
PB-1 Annual increment @ 2.5%.
PB-2 Annual increment @ 2.5%.
PB-3 Annual increments @ 2.5% & 3.5%.
PB-4 Annual increment @ 2.5%.

This means that the new pay (Revised Pay Band + Grade Pay) = (Annual Increment Percentage listed above) * Existing (Basic Pay + DA + DP )

Wonder who it is that is hoodwinking the public, the govt or the media ? 40% pay hike ... yeah right!

- Thanks god for the Right to Information Act

All the halla gulla and hype about the 6th pay commission to govt employees is is all just nonsense. There is only a 20% hike in real terms and after the tax it is not more than a few hundrend, if at all. This is particularly because are prospective. Looking at all this I am certain that waiving 60,000 crores of farmers loans is also nothing but just hype and nonsense. All this is being done at the behest of government and FM. Down Down with the report and UPA government.

Khub bewkuf banaya 6th Pay commission ne. I am posted at Portblair n my basic pay is 10975/-. My gross salary is 28544/- here. After implementation of sixth pay commission, I will get 32464/- (Approx). Out of 32464/-, 363 will be deducted as TAX means I will get only 32101/- which is only 12.4625 percent higher ammount than the amount which i was getting in 5th pay. Kaun bewkuf bana raha hai hame media ya government. People will come to know this fact in a day or two. Then they will hit their head into the wall. Har har mahadev

6th Pay Commission a big farce. Media also to be blamed for hyping the whole thing without going into details. There is no 40% to 52% hike as being projected by pay commission and media. Also, as announced that Defence Services are now at par with civil services.....where ?....neither in terms of pay...parity....promotions....and the clout they weild in all strata of our civil society. Also, para/defence forces being used thoroughly by politicians and bureaucrats alike, since, this is the only disciplined organisation in the country which cannot air its grievances, whereas, all these politicians and bureaucrats sit in plum a/c offices and enjoying the all the perks at the cost of exchequer with no accountability. First they let a problem develop in the country and do nothing about it and subsequently call the defence/paramilitary forces for counter insurgency/internal security duties. The troops deployed have to undergo lot of deprivation and the salaried paid is a measly sum. Infact, successive govts and national parties alongwith their cohorts i.e. bureaucrats after independence have taken this country for a ride by massive corruption and mis-administration, thereby leaving the 'KISAN' and the 'JAWAN' to his poor plight. 'KISAN' who is the mainstay of this country(65%) is still struggling to get out of poverty and also feed the country. Waiver of loans is of no use to these farmers...root cause are the whole salers who procure their produce for paltry sum and sell in the market at exhorbitant rates. Who is suppose to tackle them ?...politicians and bureaucrats(cream of the nation), but, they have deliberately turned a blind eye as they do not want farmers to prosper and thus become powerful since earlier they were 75% of the population and now they have managed to bring them down to 60-65%. Therfore, all rational and sane thinking people please SAY A BIG NO to this farcical pay commission as it was hand in glove with the govt. Infact, the whole report has been doctored by teh CPC on behest of the govt and the end result of the report was quiet evident when the pay of the President and Governor was hiked. Jai Hind?

The Sixth CPC is a big farce. Instead of giving a decent pay hike the pay commission spent considerable time and govt money in making a very ordinary report. There are meagre hike upto pay band 3 and the pay commsion has designed the whole pay and allowance to benefit only pay band 4. Obviously this is a grave injustice to the ordinary government servants. One is surprised at the creation of pay bands/merger without any professional thought considering experience, seniority and academic skills to revise the scales and thereby reduce the number of scales. but one finds a clerical aprroach to clustering of pay bands. Certain allowance like Transport allowance computed for the lower pay bands is utterly ridiculous. This shows a lack of presence of mind and application is arriving at a decent allowance. NO criteria for improvement of govt service conditions, performance improvements, improvement in working methodology etc. One needs to know how many countries did the commission visit (abroad) in the short span of time and at what cost.
